Effort on outlook.com. Click the grid icon in upper left corner and get to People. Click Manage drop downward menu at the top. Then click IMPORT. Then try importing from in that location using the option to import from OUTLOOK or WINDOWS Live MAIL. Both gives you lot pick to import CSV files. Though non sure if yours is FULLY compatible, but worth a shot.

If you're signed into your Microsoft Account on your phone or computer, the People app should take a day, requite or take, to sync them all.

Try on outlook.com. Click the filigree icon in upper left corner and go to People. Click Manage drop down card at the top. Then click IMPORT. And so effort importing from there using the option to import from OUTLOOK or WINDOWS Alive Mail service. Both gives yous option to import CSV files. Though not certain if yours is FULLY uniform, but worth a shot.

If you're signed into your Microsoft Business relationship on your telephone or computer, the People app should take a twenty-four hour period, give or take, to sync them all.

This is the way I did information technology. I had a CSV file of Yahoo Mail contacts when I left Yahoo and moved to Outlook. I imported the CSV file using Outlook.com. Subsequently that, the People app held all my original contacts and this was synced on my Windows phone likewise, using my Microsoft business relationship.

Can I just say, without trying to offend to many people. I have searched high and low for a solution to getting my csv contacts into Windows 10 postal service or Windows People app and I find information technology VERY difficult to believe that the solution is to create an Outlook business relationship first, import into that, and then import from at that place back to the Peoples app on Windows. How can the MS Team really believe that this is a long term solution? Importing between mail programs isn't anything really new. Why wasn't this more than thought out earlier releasing this, exercise I dare say, UPGRADE?

But fyi, if you take the contacts saved in any account (doesn't have to exist Outlook), yous tin can add that account to the People app. I haven't tried the csv route, so I can't annotate on information technology.

Problem is, all I have is a CSV file. It is from my accost book from a from a previous piece of work email. It has all my personal email contacts I had accumulated over the years. So, I really need a way to get it uploaded.

    if you oasis't tried already,

open up upwards Windows File Explorer. brand it total screen. become to your user account folder. and so your 'contacts' folder. near to acme bar will have an choice to import. select import. select your csv file.

this will not import into the People app, only your user account folder. it may or may not work with Windows 10 Mail app. it definitely will not work with Outlook email programme. it used to work with old old Windows Live Mail and Windows Postal service win32 programs back in the mean solar day.

At the moment, the People app simply syncs with your Microsoft account, this requires that you make a free Microsoft account. you lot don't have to make your computer user account into an online Microsoft account, but it helps consolidate all your Microsoft experiences. I would encourage that you make a Microsoft business relationship if you haven't done and then already. it backs up your Edge bookmarks and People contacts.

something interesting of notation is when yous add new contacts in the People app, you accept an choice to salvage information technology to a specific email account, i.due east. Gmail. afaik. ymmv.
